Speaker
Sid Madge is one of those high-profile and leading inspirational speakers that has that lived-life-experience. From boardrooms to classrooms to prisons he’s lived and loved it. He’s lived and worked around the world and been fortunate to have worked with some of the world’s biggest and wealthiest organisations, as well as some of the smallest and poorest. From to PLCs to SMEs, from PRU’s (Pupil Referral Units) to universities, from townships to campuses, his work and talks span the entire worlds of education, employment and enterprise.
Described as the ‘Madgician’, ‘life-changing’, ‘awesome’ and ‘truly inspirational’ his keynotes and speeches engage the mind, heart and soul. Regardless of age, social standing or status his talks are truly for everyone. They carry a universal truth, that we’re all connected and share many of the same foundational values of love, honesty, belonging and connection.
For Sid his talks are about creating that invaluable connection that we all want with ourselves, with others and with the wonderful world around us. They come from a deep rooted knowledge of his own lived experiences, of people and of brands and marketing. Sid has taken his own challenges of mental health issues and used them to help individuals and organisations to better understand themselves, their colleagues and the communities around them.
Sid is a big believer in those micro-moments of change that act as a shift of perspective and thinking, and has written three books aimed at helping people find, live and give their own magic.
Often the joy and magic are in the tiny moments and all it takes is a little shift of perspective to really see and appreciate them. Sid is a great believer in instant change, little ‘micro-moments’ of learning or adaptation that allow us to actively take charge of our situation and emotions in the moment, reset and bring more of our best to help ourselves and others. Each micro-moment intervention is designed to be actionable in a minute and I’ve written three books on these micro-moments for life, work and family.
"Sid delivered a session for the track I was curating at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising’s National Convention. His session was both moving and inspiring, and I think it really struck a chord with participants. This was demonstrated by the rush of people to meet him, at the end of his session, to further discuss some of the points he raised. I’d highly recommend Sid as somebody who will raise the aspirations of your team. He is a breath of fresh air."
